The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) sets guidelines for wheelchair ramp slopes to ensure safe access for everyone. The standard ADA slope is 1:12, which means for every 1 inch of vertical rise, you need 12 inches (1 foot) of ramp length.

For example, if your door is 24 inches off the ground, you'll need a ramp that's at least 24 feet long to meet ADA standards.
